To strengthen cultural and tourism ties between Spain and Dongguan, the photo exhibition "The Sun of Spain" will be held at the Dongguan Library from 29th August to 12th September, which will be an opportunity to take a closer look at and enjoy Spain's beauty!

The exhibition has three areas; the main zone, friendly city zone and the tourism zone. The main zone displays photographs of the Chinese photographer Mei Sheng, focusing on the following five regions of Spain: Aragon, Cataluna, Madrid, Malaga and Valencia.

About Mei Sheng

Mei Sheng is a specialist in World Heritage Imageology, member of the China Association of Photographers, judge of the China International Photographic Art Exhibition, the National Photographic Art Exhibition and the Golden Statue Award for Chinese Photography. He is a scholar-photographer and executive director of the China Commission for the Study of Ancient Architecture & Cultural Heritage. His photographic footprint has touched all provinces of China, the seven continents of the world and more than 50 countries.

Given his pioneering work in World Heritage Imageology, he received the "Golden Statue Awards for China Photography" from the Chinese Cultural Association and the Association of Photographers from China in 2016, which is the highest personal achievement award in the field of photography. In 2017 he was bestowed the honorary title "ambassador of the natural and cultural heritage images of the world" at the 5th World Congress of Photography by the International Federation of Photographic Arts.

In the friendly city zone, photographs of the O Salnés region, with which Dongguan signed a memorandum of friendship and cooperation in June 2019, are exhibited.

In the tourism zone, tourist itineraries and photos taken by the citizens of Dongguan when traveling in Spain are presented.
