March 3rd, the "Silk Road Treasure - Dunhuang Historical Relics Exhibition" opened in the exhibition hall of Yuan Chonghuan Memorial Park. Dozens of exquisite cultural relics involving the original work of calligraphy of the Tang Dynasty are on display. The exhibition is co-curated by Dongguan Yuan Chonghuan Memorial Park and Dunhuang Museum.

The exhibition is divided into three sections: Frontier fortress culture of the Han Dynasty, Dunhuang Art of Wei-Jin period, and Old Shazhou town of Tang Dynasty. A total of 61 pieces (sets) of fine cultural relics of Dunhuang Museum are exhibited, including bamboo slips of the Han Dynasty, hemp paper, silk, and historical documents unearthed from Mogao Grottoes of the Western Han Dynasty. Some of the exhibits are making their debut this time.

"The bamboo slips of Han is a major attraction of the exhibition, and all are authentic. Most of them are on show for the first time", said Rong Hongmei, Director of the Publicity and Education Department of Dunhuang Museum.
