Set during the epic battle between the Chu and Han armies in 202 BC, Under Siege (the full story of Farewell to My Concubine) blends elements of martial arts, contemporary and Chinese folk dance, gymnastics and more, to interpret an encounter that changed the course of Chinese history.

Yang Liping: Artistic Director/Chief Choreographer

Crowned as "Peacock Princess" and "Dance Goddess", Yang Liping is a Bai ethnic native of Dali, Yunnan. In 1992, she became the first Chinese Mainland dancer to put on performances in Taiwan, China. In 1994, her solo dance "Spirit of Peacock" won the Gold Award of 20th Century Dance Classics of the Chinese Nation.

Three grand singing and dance sets created by Yang, Dynamic Yunnan, Sound of Yunnan and Tibetan Mystery bear plentiful fruits in the tours across China and worldwide.

Yang tours around the world, staging special dance performances. She has performed in Singapore, the Philippines, the U.S., Canada and Japan.
