As enterprises across the country resume production, the Guangzhou Railway Group and China Railway Container Transport Corporation have quickly started the operation of CR Express trains in Guangdong and Hunan areas while taking measures for the prevention and control of the epidemic. From 3rd to 13th February, 12 CR Express trains departed Hunan, and the first post-Spring Festival CR Express train in Guangdong was launched on 14th February. A total of 1,194 standard containers were shipped on these days.

According to Peng Tang (Deputy General Manager of China Railway Container Transport Corp. Guangzhou Branch), as enterprises in the Pearl River Delta resumed production, there has been a growing demand for the CR Express trains. The railway sector planned to ensure a stable operation of the CRE trains. It is expected that the number of CR Express trains in Guangdong will see a 14% year-on-year increase in February, with the number of export containers being a 20% increase.
