Anyone can appreciate and create beauty as long as they dare to think. Recently, Xie Yimei, a Grade-1 art teacher of Chang'an Experimental Primary School in Dongguan, assigned a special homework for her students. She asked them to imitate world-famous paintings through dressing up or in-kind creations, and comparing the photos taken with the original paintings.

Xie said that she hoped that through this cosplay activity, the kids could have an emotional resonance with the famous artists, further understanding famous paintings, and improve their ability to appreciate aesthetic qualities.

The Grade-1 students selected their favorite famous paintings and prepared props. They expressed their respect and understanding via vivid and interesting imitation. The paintings they imitated were "Mona Lisa", "Little Boy Playing the Flute", "Girl with a Pearl Earring", "The Scream", and "Lady with an Ermine". How did these talented children interpret the famous paintings? Let's take a look!
