Close contact found in Nancheng

Dongguan reported a close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case, late in the night of Oct.19, who recently returned to Dongguan from outside Guangdong Province and currently lives in Nancheng District. The CDC at both city and township levels had conducted an epidemiological investigation on the person. Corresponding health management measures have been implemented on related people, while relevant key places have undergone terminal disinfection. The close contact's COVID-19 nucleic acid test results on Oct.19 and Oct.20 were both negative.

Given the resurgence of new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, Dongguan CDC issued a notice on Oct. 20, requesting the following residents in the city to report to their community (village) immediately, working units or hotels. Also, to cooperate with local epidemic responses, including nucleic acid testing.

I. Individuals who have been to Ejina Qi, Alashan Meng in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (内蒙古自治区阿拉善盟额济纳旗) since the National Day holiday, especially those who have been to Tongnange (桐楠阁) Restaurant in Dalaihubu Town, Ejina Qi.

II. Individuals who have been to Xi'an city, Shaanxi province and Lanzhou city, Gansu province since October 15.

III. Individuals who have been to Zhangye city, Gansu province since October 2; those who have been to Jiayuguan city, Gansu province since October 14.

Ⅳ. Individuals who have been to places where positive cases visited and those whose health code is abnormal (yellow or red).

V. Individuals who have taken the following flights or trains the same as the confirmed cases:

Oct.9: CA1216(Shanghai—Xi'an), MU9649(Xi'an—Zhangye)

Oct.15: MU2165(Jiayuguan—Xi'an), GJ8796(Xining—Zhunyi)

Oct.17: EU2446(Jiayuguan—Changsha)

(2)Trains

Oct.11 and Oct.15: D2703(Lanzhou West Station—Jiayuguan)

Oct.15: K42(Dunhuang—Beijing), D2746(Zhangye West Station—Lanzhou West)

Ⅵ. Individuals who arrive in Dongguan from domestic medium-/high-risk areas or counties (cities/districts) with confirmed case(s) of unknown sources.

Dongguan CDC also suggests that residents who have come to Dongguan from out of the province since the National Day holiday take a nucleic acid test within 48 hours.
