After nearly two years of construction, the Binhaiwan Bridge will be officially opened to traffic at the end of this June. This beautiful "Magnolia flower" will become a new landmark in Dongguan and even in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

With a total investment of 950 million RMB, the Binhaiwan Bridge is an important passage connecting the Jiaoyiwan plate and the Shajiao Peninsula plate. The bridge was designed by the team led by He Jingtang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. With the design concept of "Silk Road Lights, Magnolia Blossoms", the bridge is highly integrated with the coastal landscape and Dongguan city culture.

The Binhaiwan Bridge is a single-tower cable-stayed bridge with the largest span and the widest deck in China. "Given the current project scale, the construction time of the Binhaiwan Bridge is shorter than that of other bridges of the same type," said Kang Yufei, chief engineer of the Binhaiwan Bridge.

After being opened to traffic, it is more convenient for residents to appreciate flowers in "Binhai Bay·Flower sea" flower park, enjoy themself in parent-child amusement park, watch the sea in the Binhai sightseeing corridor and Dongbao Park, and go cycling or go for a walk in the Miaochong ecological site.
