On September 8, the contract bidding for the construction of the Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway Station and the construction supervision bidding announcement was released. The project is scheduled to officially start construction at the end of September, with a total construction period of 5.5 years. The main line of the Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway is 116 kilometres long, including 69.295 kilometres of bridges and 45.200 kilometres of tunnels (including the length of underground stations). The proportion of bridges and tunnels in new lines is 98.4%, and the design speed is 250 kilometres per hour. The total investment of the project is estimated to be 51.31 billion yuan.
