Cold air and rain hit Guangdong this week!

With a new cold wave expected to sweep Guangdong from the west as of today March 31st, Guangdong will see overcast weather over the next few days, and any temperature rise will be slow. The province has now also officially entered the flooding season.

Today, moderate to heavy rain hits northern Guangdong and the northern part of the Pearl River Delta region, and storms in some of those areas. Other cities see cloudy weather with drizzly rain. There are lows of 12℃-15℃ in northern Guangdong, 22℃-25℃ in both western Guangdong and the central and southern Pearl River Delta region, and 17℃-21℃ across other cities.

On April 1st, Shaoguan, Qingyuan, Zhaoqing and the northern part of the Pearl River Delta will see moderate to heavy rain, and storms in some of those areas. Drizzly rain is expected to linger in other cities. The temperature is predicted to be 11℃-14℃ in the northernmost cities and counties of Guangdong, with warmer temperatures of 23℃-25℃ on the Leizhou peninsula, 18℃-21℃ in coastal areas and 15℃-17℃ in other inland regions.

On April 2nd, moderate to heavy rain with a chance of storms is expected to continue in Shaoguan, Qingyuan and Zhaoqing. Overcast weather with showers is expected in eastern Guangdong. Other cities will see rain with thundery showers.

Tips:

Frequent rain brings the risk of mudslides and landslides in the next few days in hilly areas.
