Dongguan reported two more imported asymptomatic cases of COVID-19 on September 22nd. Both are Chinese nationals returning from India.

One of the cases is a 24-year-old native female from Henan Province and who has been working in India since September 2019. The other case is a 24-year-old male from Chongqing City and who has been working in India since December 2019. After arriving in India, they worked and lived there until returning to China, by air, on September 20th.

Upon their entry in Guangzhou in the early morning of September 21st, the customs staff took their throat swab samples and transferred them from the airport to the centralized quarantine and medical observation center in Dongguan, in strict accordance to a closed-loop management procedure. As the nucleic acid test for COVID-19 showed positive result, they were transferred to Dongguan's NO.9 People's Hospital for quarantine and observation. After further examination and expert consultation, they were diagnosed as asymptomatic carriers of COVID-19 infection.
