Beijing reported 27 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, two suspected cases, and 3 asymptomatic cases yesterday, with the majority found in its Fengtai district’s Xinfadi wholesale market, which sells a wide range of agricultural, meat and seafood products.

In response to this, Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention reminds the public that if you have visited the Xinfadi wholesale market or have had close contact with any workers in the market from May 30 to June 12, please report to the local disease control center or community immediately, and start self-quarantine at home, check your body temperature everyday. If you have fever, fatigue, dry cough and other uncomfortable symptoms, please report directly to the local disease control center or dial 120 for treatment.

Huaxiang town in Fengtai district is now the only high-risk area in China after the risk level in the region was moved up to the highest on Sunday. The capital has also upgraded the COVID-19 risk level of its ten regions, including Fengtai district’s Taipingqiao Street, Lugouqiao Street, Xincun Street and Xiluoyuan Street, Daxing district’s Gaomidian Street, Xihongmen Town and Linxiaolu Street, Xicheng district’s Jinrongjie Street and Yuetan Street, and Fangshan district’s Changyang Town from Saturday.
