To prevent and control the epidemic locally, the Dongguan COVID-19 Prevention and Control Command Office reminds the public that if they have visited the Xinfadi Market in Fengtai District of Beijing, had close contact with anyone involved in the market, or have visited any of the 23 medium and high-risk areas in Beijing between 30th May to 12th June, they should report to the local disease control centres or community authority. If symptoms such as fever, fatigue or a dry cough arise, they are urged to call 120 or local CDC for treatment.

According to the Dongguan City Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, Beijing has recently reported a number of newly confirmed cases of local COVID-19 cases and asymptomatic infections. According to the mini-program of the State Council’s epidemic risk level query client, 22 streets and towns in Beijing are medium-risk areas, being: Tiantan Street in Dongcheng District; Yongding Road Street and Qinglongqiao Street in Haidian District; Shibalidian in Chaoyang District; Panggezhuang Town, Huangcun Town, Tiangongyuan Street, Guanyin Temple Street, Fengtai Nanyuan Street, Lugouqiao Township, Dahongmen Street, and Shijingshan Babaoshan Street in Daxing District;Yuetan Street and Jinrongjie Street in Xicheng District; Xiluoyuan Street, Xincun Street, Taipingqiao Street, and Lugouqiao Street in Fengtai District; Linxiao Road Street, and Gaomidian Street in Daxing District; Xihongmen Area; Changyang Town in Fangshan District. In addition, Huaxiang Town in Fengtai District is currently considered a high-risk area.

Although Dongguan city is currently a low-risk area, the Dongguan Centre for Disease Prevention and Control reminds the public that low risk does not mean zero risk, and certainly does not mean the end of the epidemic. People are advised not to visit Beijing in the near future for unnecessary purposes. If needs must, they should be aware of the epidemic risk level at the destination, and try to avoid going to medium or high-risk areas. Personal protective measures should be taken. Those who plan to come to Dongguan from Beijing should report to the local community authority of the destination in advance.
