According to the latest notice issued by Dongguan CDC today (Jan.10), those returning or coming to Dongguan from relevant areas in Henan, Zhejiang, Shaanxi, Yunnan, Guangxi, Shanghai, Tianjin, Shenzhen or was in the same areas as the recent-confirmed cases need to report to their local communities, employers or hotels where they are staying as soon as possible.

These people are also required to cooperate with local health management (health notification, health inquiry, checking health code, and PCR testing), medical observation or health monitoring and other prevention and control measures.

The general public is asked to stay alert and avoid traveling to medium- and high-risk areas. People who have returned to Dongguan after travelling outside Guangdong Province are suggested to take a nucleic acid test proactively and practice self-health observation for 14 days.

Inter-city public transportation to Shenzhen suspended

Due to pandemic concerns in the neighboring city of Shenzhen, nine inter-city bus lines between Dongguan and Shenzhen have been suspended or cut short to avoid entering the city from January 8, 2022. The city's taxis and online ride-hailing services have also temporarily suspended inter-city operations to Shenzhen.

From 3pm on January 7th, express buses running between airport check-ins in Dongguan and Shenzhen Airport has also suspended services until further notice.

Express buses between airport check-ins in Nancheng district, Dongcheng district and Songshan Lake and Guangzhou Airport will operate as usual.
