On the first day of 2018, the first hanging glass-bottomed Magpie Bridge was opened in Dongguan's Fenggang Town, attracting thousands of visitors.
At 9am on 1st January, the bridge was formally opened in LongFeng Villa Video Resort, Fenggang Town, Dongguan City. Many visitors arrived early as they could not wait to step on to the bridge and start a fresh and exciting journey. Through the glassy bottom of the bridge is a panoramic view of the sprawling lakes and mountains below.
With a total investment of 50 million RMB, the bridge is 333 metres long, approximately 2 metres wide and 88 metres high at the peak. Different from other glass bridges, this Magpie Bridge will in the future host a series of matchmaking activities, providing opportunities for singles across the Pearl River Delta to meet.
