The town of Dalingshan is located in middle south of Dongguan, sitting in the center of Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Guangzhou economic corridor. It covers 95 square kilometers, with a population of about 280,000, of which about 48,000 are registered population. The town of Dalingshan was the cradle of Dongjiang River Column of Guangdong, and was one of the anti-Japanese guerrilla bases in South China. It is well known for its Wan Hong and lychee. In recent years, it has been awarded as the No.1 Town of Chinese Furniture Export, Green Town of China, Environmentally pleasant Town of China, National Hygiene Town, National Top 1,000 Town, Model Eco-town of Guangdong Province and Education Power Town in Guangdong Province. It has won the first prize in comprehensive quantitative assessment of town leadership for three consecutive years, and won Advanced Town for Maintaining Stabilization for consecutive seven years.
Dalingshan is rich in resources, abundant with verdant forests and are surrounded with pleasant environment. Its east and north sides are adjacent to Songshan Lake, Tongsha Ecological Tourism Area and Dalingshan Wetland Park, while its west and south sides embrace Dalingshan Forest Park and Mashan Natural Preservation. There are numerous natural lakes and 12 reservoirs. The nature scene with lake and mountain provides beautiful landscapes and unique geographical environment.
