Luk Duei (Deep Fried Sesame Balls with peanut filling)

Luk Duei and Jian Dui is a staple snack for local people during the Lunar New Year, and is believed to bring the whole family good luck for the year ahead. Jian Dui is made of glutinous rice flour and sugar with no inside stuffing. Prepared in a ratio of 1:1.2 (so 5kg of glutinous rice flour requires 6kg of sugar) the mix is steamed until half cooked.
