The gross building area is 44,654 m2 and the building scale is listed as seventh in the provincial and municipal public libraries of China. It is a digital and multi-functional modern municipal central library which was honored as "the Advanced Unit of Public Culture Facility Management" by the Ministry of Culture PRC in 2006.
