In addition to the Shekou International Cruise Homeport, the Hutchison Ports Yantian also drew significant attention from the media delegation.

Yantian Port is the most crucial international shipping hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, with an extensive route network. It has become a hub for importing refrigerated and fresh goods from the Americas, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia, making it the preferred port for cold chain logistics in southern China.

"Backed by important sources of goods from cities in the Pearl River Delta such as Huizhou, Zhongshan, and Dongguan, Yantian International offers nearly a hundred routes to various parts of the world each week. It is also the busiest port area in South China for European and American routes, with an average of four flights to Europe and six to the United States every day," explained Wang Zhe, Senior Manager of the Business Department of Yantian International. As a crucial node in the global supply chain, the Yantian Port area handles over one-third of Guangdong Province's foreign trade imports and exports and over one-fourth of the country's exports to the United States.

"The development of Shenzhen's maritime economy is astonishing – bustling terminals, advanced technical management, convenient exit procedures, and surprising maritime entertainment options; everything is fantastic! Guangdong's impressive maritime economic development has left a lasting impression," expressed Mahdi Fara Hamid, a journalist from Iraq's Rudaw TV.

After years of development, relying on natural deep-water berths and the service capabilities of super-large ships, Yantian International has become the preferred port for large vessels in southern China, as well as the preferred port for cross-border e-commerce in southern China. It is one of the busiest container terminals globally. It has welcomed 21 of the world's largest 24,000 TEU-level container vessels on their maiden voyages since the beginning of this year, boasting the highest number in South China.
