In the Lingnan region of Dongguan's Dalingshan , the Guanxiang culture, with its long history and profound heritage, is exuding new vitality and vigor. On May 30th, the exchange meeting for the application of Guanxiang as China's Important Agricultural Heritage Systems and the first general meeting of the Dalingshan Lingnan Guanxiang Professional Cooperative were held grandly in the Guanxiang Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Park, marking a new stage in the inheritance and development of the Guanxiang culture in Dalingshan.

Guanxiang, known as one of the four major "Royal Perfume Gardens" since ancient times, has become a national intangible cultural heritage project through thousands of years of inheritance and innovation in its production techniques. As the significant source and main producing area of Guanxiang production techniques, Dalingshan boasts over 3,000 acres of Guanxiang trees, producing high-quality Guanxiang raw materials with pure fragrance. In particular, "Nverxiang" (Daughter's Fragrance) has gained worldwide renown.

In recent years, Dalingshan has attached great importance to the development of the Guanxiang industry and the inheritance of its culture. By establishing the Lingnan Guanxiang Professional Cooperative, a model of "leading enterprises + industry standards + production bases + farmers" has been established, effectively promoting the transformation of the Guanxiang industry from a traditional intangible cultural heritage project to a cultural industry and achieving the upgrading of traditional agricultural and sideline products to industrial products. At the same time, Dalingshan has actively hosted ten sessions of "Dongguan Fragrance Classics" and three sessions of the "Jichiling Nverxiang Cultural Festival" to promote the Guanxiang culture beyond Dalingshan and to the world. 

In the field of medicine, Guanxiang also demonstrates its unique value. As the representative of "Agarwood has many varieties, but Guanxiang is king for medicinal use," the medicinal potential of Guanxiang is being further explored, injecting new impetus into the diversified development of the Guanxiang industry. Furthermore, relying on Guanxiang resources, Dalingshan has built core projects such as the Guanxiang Cultural Tourism Experience Street and the Guanxiang Characteristic Town Reception Hall, enriching the connotation of the Guanxiang industry and enhancing the brand influence of Guanxiang culture.

It is worth mentioning that the Guanxiang culture in Dalingshan has not only been widely disseminated and recognized domestically but has also attracted international attention. On November 22, 2023, the documentary film "The Legend of Guanxiang," produced for the first time using 8K technology, premiered globally, allowing audiences worldwide to witness the unique charm of the Guanxiang culture.

Looking ahead, Dalingshan will continue to deeply explore the connotation and value of the Guanxiang culture, promote the in-depth integration of the Guanxiang industry and culture, and contribute Dalingshan's strength to the inheritance and promotion of Chinese excellent traditional culture.
