
On August 4, snooker star Ding Junhui returned to Dongguan! As one of the 200 million people of Dongguan, Ding said, "It feels very warm to be back here again."
It’s well known that Ding Junhui had his snooker training in Dongguan for 8 years. At the end of 1998, 11-year-old Ding Junhui moved from Yixing, Jiangsu to Dongguan with his parents to learn from master snooker players.
Upon stepping once again onto the familiar soil of Dongguan, Ding Junhui said that in the interview, “Compared to the past, Dongguan's urban development has made significant strides, the city has become more beautiful and now has the qualities of a major metropolis."
Ding Junhui believes that the snooker culture in Dongguan is very profound. He trained in Dongguan from a young age, and many players from across the country come here to learn and train.
The city also hosts many high-level competitions, and the training facilities are excellent, providing a great environment for young players. Young people can not only learn snooker culture and skills here but also gain excellent development opportunities."
