On Nov. 14th, Lyu Chengxi, Deputy Secretary of CPC Dongguan Committee & Mayor of Dongguan Municipal Government, met with Jiri Korec, Mayor of Zlin. Both sides exchanged ideas on promoting practical cooperation in multiple fields and signed MoU on joint development of friendly relationship for cooperation and exchange. Miloslav Chalanek, Deputy Mayor of Zlin; Qiu Huilin, Inspector at Level 2 of Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province; Xing Wenju, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Dongguan Committee & Deputy Mayor of Dongguan Municipal Government, and Yan Jizong, Secretary General of Dongguan Municipal Government, attended the meeting.
Lyu Chengxi warmly welcomed Jiri Korec and his delegation, and briefly introduced the economic and social development of Dongguan. He said that the two cities are highly complementary to each other and have a broad space for cooperation. It’s hoped that the two cities could further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, industries, technological innovation, higher education, tourism, etc., and take more practical measures to deepen the friendship between the two cities.
Jiri Korec expressed his gratitude for the warm reception in Dongguan and briefly introduced Zlin. He also hoped that the signing of MoU could serve as an opportunity for further exchanges between the two cities.
After the meeting, the two cities signed MoU on joint development of friendly relationship for cooperation and exchange. According to the MoU, the two sides will engage in various forms of exchanges and cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, technology, and people-to-people exchange,etc.
