Chang'an Town in Dongguan has made history, becoming the first town in the city and the third in Guangdong Province to achieve a regional GDP exceeding 100 billion yuan, following Shishan Town and Beijiao Town in Foshan. This major announcement was made during the Third Session of the 14th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress, underscoring Chang'an's critical role in driving high-quality development at the town level.

Chang'an owes its remarkable achievement to its thriving industrial ecosystem. The town has developed a robust "2+3" industrial cluster, which includes a trillion-yuan electronics industry, a 50-billion-yuan hardware and mold sector, and three emerging industries—intelligent vision, new energy vehicle components, and electronic health—each worth over 10 billion yuan. It is home to global smartphone giants OPPO and Vivo, along with other major domestic and international brands such as Xiaotiancai.

Since 2024, Chang'an has actively seized the opportunities presented by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area initiative. By prioritizing the "High-Quality Development Project for 100 Counties, 1,000 Towns, and 10,000 Villages," Chang'an has focused on modernizing its industries and creating an investment-friendly environment. Its milestone marks a new era for Dongguan, positioning the city as a significant contributor to Guangdong's broader development goals.
