In January 2025, the Hong Kong International Airport Dongguan Logistics Park reported a remarkable 93% year-on-year increase in import and export value, reaching 1.197 billion RMB. Since its inception, the park has surpassed 20 billion RMB in total trade value, supporting over 800 businesses in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and expanding its range of products to more than 900 types. This growth highlights the successful collaboration between mainland China and Hong Kong, and showcases the vitality and potential of their mutual partnership.
The center recently experienced a peak in shipments, with trucks loaded with electronic components crossing the facility's checkpoints, bound for Hong Kong International Airport before heading off to international markets. As the Greater Bay Area continues to deepen its development, this cross-border logistics park plays a key role in driving the integration of Hong Kong services and GBA manufacturing.
Notably, the Park is the world's first direct-to-airport cross-border sea-air transport project, offering a unique advantage by connecting the region's manufacturing prowess with Hong Kong's aviation network. The hub has become a benchmark for enhancing GBA cooperation and driving high-quality regional development.
