A freight train loaded with 45 containers of export goods recently departed from the Shilong Railway International Logistics Hub, marking the resumption of the China Railway Express service from Shilong, Dongguan to Central Asia. The train is expected to reach Kazakhstan in just 11 days, delivering electronics, home appliances, and daily necessities to the Central Asian market.
This train operates under an express customs clearance model, allowing goods to be declared, inspected, and released locally before departure. This eliminates the need for mid-route inspections, significantly reducing transit time and logistics costs while ensuring a seamless journey across thousands of kilometers of railway.
In recent years, trade between China and Central Asia has expanded rapidly, with complementary strengths between Central Asia's energy and resource sectors and the manufacturing powerhouse of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The resumption of railway express service between Shilong and Central Asia is set to further enhance industrial cooperation and streamline trade flows between the two regions.
The train's express service not only injects new momentum into the regional economy but also advances high-quality development in Dongguan and the Greater Bay Area. Additionally, it accelerates the modern logistics system, providing businesses with an efficient gateway for both raw material imports and product exports, ensuring that goods from the Greater Bay Area reach international markets more seamlessly than ever before.
