When the beating of drums rolls across the water and hundreds of boats race like arrows on the river, Dongguan officially welcomes its most exhilarating season, Dragon Boat Month.

Known as the "Hometown of Dragon Boats," this southern Chinese city offers one of the longest and most vibrant dragon boat seasons in the country, lasting for over a month with non-stop festivities. From traditional water parades to high-level invitational races, nearly every town and district is staging its own celebration.
