The city’s July Stage Calendar is packed with dynamic performances ranging from classic Cantonese opera and Russian dance spectacles to interactive family shows and laugh-out-loud comedies. Here are the highlights you won’t want to miss: 

01 "Eternal Agilawood" – Cantonese Opera

Time: July 30–31 (Wednesday–Thursday), 20:00

Venue: Dongguan Yulan Theatre

A moving romance that spans generations. A young woman named Guan’er and her love Chang Geng are reunited again and again through lifetimes, all tied to the soul of Dongguan’s signature incense: Agilawood. With exquisite costumes and timeless storytelling, it’s a celebration of enduring love.

02 "Show In the Rain" – Russian Wetmen

Time: July 13 (Sunday), 20:00

Venue: Dongguan Yulan Theatre

An electrifying European favorite, this water-themed dance show has wowed over three million people across 3,000 performances. With real rain effects and stunning choreography by Rustam Nadyrshin, it’s a visually breathtaking experience not to be missed.

03 "The Bride of the Water Wedding" – Dance Drama

Time: July 2–3 (Wednesday–Thursday), 20:00

Venue: Dongguan Yulan Theatre

Set in a historic water village in Zhuhai, this poetic performance tells the story of a brave Tanka girl named Pearl. She defies social norms to pursue love, eventually sacrificing herself in a battle to protect her home. A powerful tale of freedom and dignity brought to life through dance.

04 Zhao Yue Solo Concert

Time: July 4 (Friday), 19:30

Venue: Dongguan Yulan Theatre

Acclaimed young tenor Zhao Yue brings you a lyrical night of East-meets-West. From ancient Chinese poetry to beloved folk songs like “Yueren Song” and “By the Water’s Edge,” enjoy a masterclass in vocal storytelling. 

05 "The Bluebird" – Anime-Inspired Chamber Concert

Time: July 27 (Sunday),19:30

Venue: Dongguan Yulan Theatre

Performed by the “Starlight” New Chamber Orchestra, this concert blends classical music with beloved anime themes, offering a nostalgic and uplifting experience for fans of both genres.

06 "Robinson Crusoe" – English Children’s Theater

 Time: July 22 (Tuesday), 19:30

Venue: Dongguan Yulan Theatre

Adapted from the classic novel and performed in English, this fun and adventurous show is designed for children, taking young audiences on a survival journey filled with imagination and heart.
