China's first AI glasses 4S flagship store opened in Dongguan on September 3, offering customers a one-stop destination to try, purchase and customize AI eyewear. The store also provides product setup, after-sales support and a channel for users to share feedback.

A major highlight was the global debut of the KRETA Poseidon navigation glasses, designed specifically for people with visual impairments. Using cameras and visual-recognition technology, the glasses turn information about the wearer's surroundings into spoken guidance. They can identify obstacles, announce elevator floors and provide voice navigation to make everyday travel easier and safer. Visitors can also explore a range of AI glasses for everyday use. 

Dongguan's trillion-yuan electronic information industry provides a strong foundation for the growth of its AI glasses sector. The city's manufacturers cover everything from acoustic systems and camera modules to lightweight materials and finished products. Public data show that global shipments of AI glasses reached 8.7 million units in 2025, surging 322% year on year. Dongguan-based companies contributed more than four million units, nearly half of the global total, making the city the world's largest production base for AI glasses.
