A major Guangdong recruitment campaign arrived in Tianjin on September 17, bringing more than 54,000 job openings from over 1,700 participating employers. Over five days, recruiters will visit eight universities in Tianjin and Beijing, including Nankai University, Tianjin University, Beijing Foreign Studies University and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.

The employers range from leading technology companies such as OPPO, vivo and Shengyi Electronics to major research institutions, universities, hospitals and state-owned enterprises. More than 8,500 openings are aimed at candidates with master’s or doctoral degrees. Over 21 percent of the jobs offer annual salaries above RMB 200,000, while more than 50 positions pay over RMB 500,000 a year. Some even come with million-yuan salary packages.

Emerging and future industries account for nearly 38,000 openings, or about 70 percent of the total. Almost 10,000 positions are related to artificial intelligence, including roles for VLA algorithm engineers, AI agent developers and AI systems engineers. Students can also access on-site résumé assistance, AI-supported interview practice, career guidance and job-matching services.

Dongguan is offering additional support to graduates interested in building a career in the city. Job seekers may apply for up to 15 days of free accommodation, while eligible newly recruited professionals can receive subsidies of up to RMB 100,000. The city also provides support for housing, healthcare and entrepreneurship. Evening recruitment sessions have been introduced at selected universities, allowing students with daytime classes or internships to meet employers after 17:30.
