The new Dongguan Museum will open to the public on September 28, with nine exhibitions inviting visitors to explore the city’s 5,000 years of history and culture.

Located at No.10 Shizhu Road, Nancheng District, the new museum covers a total floor area of 40,000 square meters. Themed with “Towards Lingnan, China and the World”, it traces 5,000 years of Dongguan’s civilization and serves as a brand-new cultural landmark of the city.

Nine major exhibitions are launched, featuring historical artifacts, special themed shows and digital innovations. Highlights include a display of Dongguan’s history, plus the Lingnan VR Exhibition. Powered by large-scale LBE VR technology, it delivers an immersive journey into Dongguan’s archaeology. Visitors can experience interactive relics across time.
