Two Dongguan companies, Nine Dragons Paper (Holdings) Limited and Shengyi Technology Co., Ltd., have been included in the 2026 China Top 500 Private Enterprises list. Released by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce on September 22, the list placed the two Songshan Lake-based companies 137th and 461st, respectively.

Nine Dragons Paper, which has grown from its base in Dongguan into a global business, reported revenue of 79.135 billion yuan. It ranked 137th on the list, up three places from the previous year. The company is now the world’s largest paper manufacturing group by production capacity and continues to expand its global presence.

Shengyi Technology made its debut on the list at No. 461, with revenue of 28.43 billion yuan. Founded in Dongguan in 1985, the company has grown into a leading global supplier of electronic circuit base materials. It is China’s largest producer of copper-clad laminates and ranks second worldwide by market share.

Private enterprises are the backbone of Dongguan’s economy and play an important role in developing new quality productive forces. Dongguan’s private companies continue to expand their operations and invest in innovation, supporting the high-quality growth of the city’s private economy.
