Documents for Issuing Invitation Letter to Foreign Nationals Visiting China during COVID-19 Period

(1)Application letter from the inviter

(2)Qualifications or other registration and certificates of the inviter, including business license and tax payment certificate of the previous year

(3)Epidemic prevention and control work plan for the invited foreigners formulated by the Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters of the township (district) where the inviter is based

(4)Consent form of epidemic prevention and control signed by the invitee

(5)Passport information page of the invitee

(6)Personal information declaration form of the invitee

(7)Supporting documents for proving the necessity and emergency of the application by the inviter

(8)In the case of applying for a business visa, there are three situations as follows:

①If the invitee is sent by the head office for a short-term (below 90 days) to China, do not need to provide a short-term work permit notice but must provide a head office dispatch letter;

②If the invitee is the legal representative or shareholder of the inviting company (below 90 days), do not need to provide a short-term work permit notice or dispatch letter;

③Other than the above two situations, a short-term work permit notice must be provided;

(9)If you apply for a work visa, you must provide a long-term work permit notice or a valid foreigner work permit.

(10)In case the inviter is an educational institution, an approval document issued by the provincial or municipal education department in accordance with subordination needs to be submitted.

(11)Other materials that need to be provided according to the actual situation, such as production orders, sales contracts, proof of the relationship between the inviter and the invitee, and other materials that can prove the necessity and urgency of the invitee' visit to China.

In any of the following circumstances, the inviter qualification will be suspended and relevant issues will be transferred to the authorities for handling in accordance with the law:

(1)The inviter sumbits applications of invitees under false pretense or of invitees who are to visit or work at other corporation or institution other than the inviter. 

(2) The invitee violates the law after the entry of China;

(3)The invitee is engaged in activities that do not match the purpose of the application.
