On the evening of June 27, spectacular light shows illuminated the night sky of Dongguan downtown area to mark the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

On the bustling Hongfu Road, landmark buildings such as Minying International Trade Centre, Dongguan Rural Commercial Bank Building and others turned into magnificent canvas brightened with colourful lights.

Not far from the buildings in Hongfu business circle, the city's Central Square also turned all its lights on. In the centre of the north square, the landscape with the theme of celebrating the CPC's centenary was particular dazzling at night, attracting many citizens to stop by and take pictures.

The light shows to celebrate the CPC's centenary will last until mid-July, with performances on June 30 and July 1 throughout the night. Citizens can enjoy the best view at Minying International Trade Centre, First International and the Central Square. One can trace the 100-year glorious history of the CPC in the beautiful changing lights and feel the prosperity of New China.
