More than two weeks after Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey hit cinemas in China, demand remains exceptionally high at Wanda Cinemas in Dongguan's South China Mall. Screenings in its IMAX GT Laser auditorium have repeatedly sold out, even at 4 a.m., turning the venue into a destination for serious movie fans.

The Odyssey was shot entirely with IMAX film cameras in a native 1.43:1 aspect ratio, which reveals significantly more of the image than conventional presentations. The Dongguan auditorium is one of the few in South China capable of showing the film in its full-frame format.

Its screen measures 28.6 meters wide and 20.73 meters high, covering nearly 600 square meters. Combined with an upgraded IMAX GT Laser projection system, it brings the film's vast seascapes, subtle expressions and intricate lighting to life, giving fans a compelling reason to travel to Dongguan for the big-screen experience.
