On 2nd February, the "Mystery of Life: Marine Wizard" a science exhibition jointly organized by the Dongguan Science & Technology Association and the city's Oceanic and Fishery Bureau opened at the Dongguan Science Museum. 109 biological marine specimens will be on exhibition. The exhibition is free of charge from 2nd February to 31st March.

The exhibition will use mediumto large sized plastic marine animals to display the unknown and extraordinary appearance of marine life in five categories; the Colourful Ocean, Ocean Fish, Marine Mammals, Ocean Exploration and Ocean Molluscs. The internal anatomy of the marine animals will also be displayed. From this exhibition visitors can learn about the habits and structures of bony fish, cartilage fish, reptiles, birds, mammals, crustaceans and molluscs in our seas. They can also see naive sunfish, whale sharks longer than 5 metres, as well as the domineering mighty walrus and other different forms of marine life.

The instructors have also arranged guide services. Those wishing to organize a group visit can make an appointment by calling 22119650. During the Spring Festival holiday, the exhibition will remainopen from 9:30 to 16:30 between the first and fifth days of the Chinese New Year.
