Musical science awaits your discovery. Recently, the "Global Mechanical Music Box Exhibition" consisting of 100 precious mechanical music boxes, 50 interactive exhibits and 50 popular comic science exhibition boards was launched in Dongguan Science Museum.

Organized by the Dongguan Science and Technology Association and hosted by Dongguan Science Museum, this exhibition is the first of its kind in China which was designed and produced from the perspective of science and technology. It also satisfies exhibition criteria for science and technology museums. It presents a comprehensive collection of historical treasures of machinery and music, showcases dozens of antique mechanical music boxes from France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the United States and many other countries.

The exhibition is divided into three major areas; the mechanical music-listening area, the music experience area, and the interactive learning area. The past and present of mechanical music boxes are explained, with exploration of the mysteries of mechanical music boxes and the scientific secrets of wonderful notes, exquisite craftsmanship, and the scientific experience of traditional Chinese music. It not only popularizes scientific knowledge of science and music, but also intrigues viewers to think deeper about the spirit of craftsmanship.
