About the Spanish Coro Las Veredas Choir

Since its foundation in 2005 by the choir master Enrique Martin, the choir of Las Veredas School has been developing choral music with 11 to 16 year old pupils. It has participated in the Madrid Community choir contest, obtaining the first prize in 2009 and 2010, and the second prizes in 2007 and 2008.

The work of the choir is not solely centered on the training of new singers and preparing concerts, since its beginning we have firmly believed that a junior choir should be innovative, and, year after year the choir has sought after original works by Spanish authors which have been performed for the first time by the choir in the concerts and contests they have taken part in. Las Veredas choir has also organized two choir contests in which some of the region’s best choirs have participated.
