According to the top-level provincial public health emergency response, from 6th February 2020, Dongguan Bus Company (including Citybus, Binhai Bay Bus, Songshan Lake Bus, Eastern Bus and Light Bus) will adjust operating schedules to help contain the spread of the viral pneumonia. In this way the health and safety of Dongguan citizens will be assisted. The details are as follows:
1. All lines will extend departure intervals by reducing departure frequencies. Citizens should expect longer waiting times.
2. Some bus lines are temporarily suspended.(Details as List of temporarily suspended routes during the outbreak)
3. Passengers are required to wear masks during the ride, or will be reported to the authorities.
4. It is advisable to check the real-time bus arrival status in advance through mobile apps such as "Dongguan Tong" and "Chelaile", or by calling the service hotline 0769-26880808.
5. Resumption of normal operations will be notified on the official WeChat account "Dongguan Bus". Please pay close attention for updates.
6. Dongguan Bus will adjust bus operating schedules from time to time according to actual needs.
Airport bus
In addition, Dongguan City Terminal has adjusted airport bus operating schedules. From 3rd to 9th February, all airport buses from Wanjiang, Dongcheng and Dalang terminals are temporarily suspended. Buses in Nancheng Terminal will only travel to Guangzhou airport, Shenzhen airport and Hong Kong airport, while buses departing Songshan Lake Terminal will only go to Shenzhen Airport. The earliest departure time is 7:20 and the latest 19:00.
Dongguan Bus would like to remind the public to enhance awareness of self-protection, avoid going to closed or crowded public places. Please avoid un-necessary excursions. Passengers must wear a facemask, preferably a surgical mask, and avoid face-to-face conversations when taking public transportation. Temperature monitoring for all passengers and staff are required at flight terminals and at the entrance of airport express. Please understand that such medical examinations are necessary and abide by requests.
