The Dongguan Civil Art Centre was officially opened to the public on 18th March, 2016, becoming another new cultural landmark in the city.

On 18th March, the new Dongguan Culture Centre-Dongguan Civil Art Centre was officially opened to the public, becoming another new cultural landmark in the city following Dongguan Library, Dongguan Exhibition Hall and Yulan Theatre. 

Located in No.6 Hongfu West Road of Wanjiang District, with a floor space of 28,384 square metres, the new centre has a complex building, a theatre and a show hall for intangible cultural heritages. There are 37 multifunctional training classrooms for music, dancing, opera, calligraphy, photography and folk arts in the complex building. The theatre can accommodate anaudience of 915.

The centre is closed every Monday and is open to the public all other days of the week.
