According to the lunar calendar, 5th May is the official day of the Dragon Boat Festival, and as it looms closer, Dongguanese use Zongzi as a bridge of friendship between neighbours, as well as a traditional home festival food. Families sit together to choose reed leaves, soak glutinous rice, and wrap Zongzi as they chat.
