The 13th Qiaotou Lotus Flowers Festival began on 23rd June in Qiaotou Township of Dongguan City. A festival highlight, the lotus flowers exhibition showcased many different characters and features,combining elements of traditional Chinese gardens. 

In Chinese, one pronunciations of lotus is the same as that of “harmony”, while another pronunciation of lotus is the same as that of "clean". With "music theory, ecology, innovation, harmony" and "cleanliness" the main elements of the exhibition, this year is an effort to develop the effect of fanciful gardening. Exceeding 20 species of lotus in more than 6,000 pots across the 200,000 square-metre Lotus Lake are 17 inviting displays. Visitors can take pictures with these interactive and ornamental lotus flower presentations.
