The International Famous Furniture Fair (Dongguan) is held in March and August every year. In 2004, it was chosen as a trial spot for intellectual property protection in expos, and went on to become the first furniture expo for intellectual property protection in China. In 2005, the Fair was chosen as an exhibition supported by the Ministry of Commerce. The 7th International Famous Furniture Fair (Dongguan) reached a scale of 130,000 square meters, making it the first professional furniture expo in Asia.
