The semi-final was divided into two runway show rounds. For the first round, all competitors were dressed in original white T-shirts and for the second all wore suits or formal dresses. The competitors carefully prepared their own costumes for each round.
7 professional judges scored based on appearance, manner, stage performance, body coordination and comprehensive individual quality. Each round was marked out of a maximum of 100 and the average score of two rounds was the final score. Many competitors received high praise from judges, some of whom saying they could give professional models a run for their money. In the end, 52 competitors were selected for the final.
Many parents witnessed the self-development of their children through the competition, with many saying the competition gave children a good opportunity to train themselves, gain confidence and helped sow the seeds of dreams in their heart.
The competition was a jointly planned activity held by the Dongguan Cultural Centre, Guangzhou Association of Fashion Design and Guangdong Garment Industry Association.
