On 15th August 2018, the 2018 Chinese and South Korean Youth Communication Camp, organized by the Dongguan Science and Technology Museum and Daegu National Science Museum, started in the Dongguan Science and Technology Museum.

41 outstanding youths implement task-based communication through group communication, study and discussion, hand-make activities and by various other strategies during the activity. In the end, youths from two countries completed two outstanding model airplane programs within the permitted time and made successful test flights. They were a creative model airplane from Dongguan Science and Technology Museum and four-axis UAV from Daegu National Science Museum of South Korea. Each group finished all study tasks to a high standard.

After the activities, leaders from the museum issued certificates of excellence to the students in the camp. Youths from each country exchanged gifts, and visited the museum exhibition room to watch a laser dance show together.

This event is the first time that Dongguan Science and Technology Museum has cooperated with Daegu National Science Museum to launch a face-to-face scientific communication activity for youths from two countries. For Dongguan teenagers, it is not only a chance to learn basic UAV knowledge but also a chance to communicate with outstanding foreign teenagers, to experience foreign excellent science education programs and broaden horizons. In the future, Dongguan Science and Technology Museum will hold similar communication and study activities for further teenager participation and benefit.
