The public holiday schedule for 2019 has been released, as approved by the General Office of the State Council. The first holiday of the year will take place from Dec. 30, 2018, through to January 1, 2019. The Spring Festival holiday will be held from Feb. 4 through to Feb. 10. The longest holiday of the year will be the National Day holiday.

Traditional Chinese festivals including Qingming Festival, Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival were included in the schedule with three-day-long holiday breaks attached to weekends. Residents have been advised to take a look at the holiday schedule and make plans for travel in advance.
