Julia Axelsson, the Prize of Excellence winner in "Dongguan through Foreigners' Eyes" photography collection activity

Dongguan, a beautiful and modern ecological city, attracts friends from all over the world to pursue their dreams and enjoy a prosperous life. "Dongguan through Foreigners' Eyes" is a Photography Collection Activity designed to share a unique view of Dongguan. Among the 50 awarded works, 20 wonderful pictures were taken by our foreign friends, and Julia is one of them.

Julia Axelsson, whose home country is Sweden, moved to Dongguan 2 years ago. She likes taking photos to share her life with her family and friends in Europe. Although Julia takes photographs for her diary, she had never before participated in such an activity. She was amazed when her photo "Keeping traditions alive above the urban jungle" won the prize of Excellence. "I'd like to capture life in Dongguan", she smiled, "I love it here. I love the nature in Dongguan. I like the people, it's a very friendly place, a very calm place also...and you come back to Dongguan, it's so much calmer, more quiet, it feels like an easier place to live in."
