On 11th April, the Information Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province held a press conference in Guangzhou releasing information on the 11th China Processing Trade Products Expo (hereafter CPTPE).

The 11th CPTPE will be held at the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Centre in Dongguan, Guangdong Province from 18th to 21st April. The first two days will be restricted to professional attendees, while the last two days will be open to the general public. The exhibition will remain hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China, the State Intellectual Property Office and the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, and undertaken by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce and the Dongguan Municipal People's Government. The exhibition area will be 50,000 square metres.

There will be 865 exhibitor companies at this CPTPE. Exhibitors with famous products from across China have participated in the exhibition, bringing ceramics from Jingdezhen of Jiangxi, cashmere from Inner Mongolia, clothing from Tianjin, natural foods from Heilongjiang, and industrial clusters from Guangdong such as Humen clothing, Dalang knitwear, Xinxing stainless steel, and Yangjiang cutlery. In addition, high-tech intelligent products, such as robots which can play chess, electric vehicles, and VR equipment, will also be unveiled.

It is worth noting that this year, an international food display section will be newly-added to the Expo, inviting overseas food companies to participate for the first time. In March this year, the organizing committee secretariat organized a delegation to visit Thailand, Indonesia and several other countries to promote the Expo. The tour was welcomed and recognized by political officers and businessmen from all countries visited. The local business community expressed strong interest in the Expo and the business environment of Guangdong. A group of food companies and trade circulation associations have already signed up for the event.

Chen Zhongqiu (Executive Secretary of the Expo), said that in addition to various domestic fine products, the audience will also find special foods from Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Kazakhstan, which will bring the exhibition a new experience.

In order to enhance the effectiveness of the exhibition, this year's CPTPE will continue to increase invitations to buyers. Alibaba, JD, Amazon and other e-commerce hotshots will gather together at the Expo for the first time, and become the first batch of "specially-invited CPTPE e-commerce buyers".
