Dongguan delegation conducts exchange activities with 3 European countries

From 4th to 13th June, a Dongguan delegation led by Mr. Luo Zhaoqun (Chairman of the CPPCC Dongguan Committee) visited Germany, Spain and Portugal to conduct exchanges on economics, trade, foreign affairs and culture. The visit sought to capitalize upon major historical opportunities provided by construction of the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area. Also, to actively expand Dongguan's cooperation with developed European countries, and to accelerate Dongguan's new-pattern of comprehensive construction for opening-up to become "Thriving Dongguan, A Pearl in the Greater Bay Area".

From 4th to 13th June, a Dongguan delegation led by Mr. Luo Zhaoqun (Chairman of the CPPCC Dongguan Committee) visited Germany, Spain and Portugal to conduct exchanges on economics, trade, foreign affairs and culture.

The delegation visited the municipal government of Wuppertal in Germany, the municipal government of Barcelos in Portugal, the Mancomunidade Salnes of Spain, and the Chinese Consulate General in Munich to strengthen friendly exchanges. Three investment and trade matchmaking meetings were held to promote economic and trade cooperation between the city and relevant European countries. The delegation also visited the Dongguan Entrepreneurs Association in Western Europe, the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, the New Silk Road Association in Spain, and various other high level meetings. They participated in the Munich International Logistics Exhibition, and paid a visit to local well-known enterprises and scientific research institutions.

After the compact, pragmatic and efficient visit, the delegation signed key project agreements, promoted high-end talent exchanges, forged close and friendly international relations, all culminating to lay a solid foundation for to further exchange and cooperation with European countries.

During the visit, the delegation hosted the China (Dongguan)-Germany (Wuppertal) Investment & Economic Matchmaking Conference, China (Dongguan)-Spain (Mancomunidade Salnes) Investment & Trade Matchmaking Conference, and China (Dongguan)-Portugal (Barcelos)-Brazil (Malín) Investment & Trade Matchmaking Conference. These conferences actively promoted Dongguan's development prospects and main advantages in the Greater Bay Area. The policy dividends and business environment of Dongguan were also introduced, which aroused high attention and interest among participating companies and guests.
