On 25th June, a press conference of the 11th China International Animation Copyright Fair (hereafter “the Fair”) was held. The Fair will be held from 16th to 19th August in Hall 3 of Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Centre, Houjie Town, Dongguan.

The Fair will be open to the public for free. With an exhibition area of about 16,250 square metres and 105 booths, more than 200 well-known foreign and domestic animation companies and institutions will gather in Dongguan. Hundreds of China’s emerging animated IP (Intellectual Property) will also appear at the Fair. The Fair will include 10 large-scale theme exhibitions, 2 summit forums, 1 works evaluation meeting, and 21 professional matching conferences.

Peng Wujun (Director of the Publicity Department of the Radio & Television Administration of Guangdong Province), spoke at the press conference stating that as the most high-profile and most influential animation copyright fair in China, the Animation Copyright Fair will be held in Dongguan indefinitely. Peng explained the Fair had played an important role in promoting the cultural industry in Dongguan and Guangdong Province, as well as the international influence of Chinese animation brands.

In the past 10 years, a total of 3,781 companies have attended the Fair, with an exhibition area of 169,520 square metres, a total of 2.1 million visitors, and an accumulated transaction volume exceeding 20 billion RMB.

In order to set up a strong docking platform and form an industrial synergy, the Fair will establish an “ACTIF Brand Operation Centre” platform, aiming to create a “4+365” never-ending online and offline exhibition.

The Fair also set up a trade matching and negotiation appointment platform for exhibitors in advance. Presently, 8 pre-show industrial docking events have been held in Beijing, Tianjin, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Dongguan and other cities. During the Fair, 10 industry matchmaking events, such as IP authorization event and a special culture and tourism IP event, will be held according to the needs of exhibitors. Professional visitors will be invited to participate.
