The second China International Import Expo (hereinafter referred to as “Import Export”) was opened on November 5 in Shanghai. Part of the products displayed on the second Import and Export will also be displayed on the 12th China Processing Trade Products Fair (hereinafter referred to as “Processing Fair”).

The journalist learned from the Secretariat of the Processing Fair that on the afternoon of November 4, Malaysia Promas International Business Society and the Secretariat of the Processing Fair signed a cooperation agreement on exhibition solicitation. According to the agreement, the society will be one of the organizers of the guest of honor of the 12th Processing Fair and organize 20  Malaysian enterprises to attend the fair. Featured products such as Musang King  durian biscuit and white coffee displayed on the second Import Export will also be displayed on the incoming Processing Fair.

Malaysian specialty products to be displayed on the Processing Fair

On the signing ceremony of the agreement, the Secretariat of the Processing Fair expressed that Malaysia Promas International Business Society has the experience of organizing enterprises to attend national and provincial fairs such as the Canton Fair, Import Export and the Maritime Silk Road International Expo. The society therefore boasts abundant exhibitor and buyer resources and it also  enjoys a strong cooperation foundation with the Secretariat of the Processing Fair. It is expected that the society can motivate local enterprises to attend the Processing Fair to exhibit and purchase and also serve as an organizer for the guest of honor exhibition. 

According to Dato Chong Yew Chee, President of Malaysia Promas International Business Society, through watching the promotion video played on the 12th Import and Export and listening to the introduction by the Secretariat of the Processing Fair, he found that the Processing Fair is a professional business platform of high level and high product quality. The society will organize its key  enterprises to attend the Processing Fair and bring its local specialty products  displayed on the Import Export such as Musang  King durian biscuit, over 60-year-old “meet u” black and white coffee to the import hall of the Processing Fair.

Nearly half of the booths in the import hall have been booked

The Import Export held in Shanghai constitutes an important part of China’s efforts in expanding import. In response to the country’s policy of expanding import, the organizing committee of the 12th Processing Fair will establish an import  hall for the first time. Enterprises from countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia and Belarus will be invited to exhibit at the fair, which will help high-quality products from overseas to find their way to Chinese market through the Processing Fair.  

It is learned that the Secretariat of the Processing Fair has been actively soliciting exhibitors for the import hall. On October 15, the Secretariat and Dongguan-Africa Industrial Investment Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement, which decided that enterprises from South Africa plan to take up 20 booths for  food, red wine and cosmetic products. On October 23, the Secretariat and Vietnam  China Investment Development Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement, which decided that 20 booths would be taken. Aside from displaying specialty food of Vietnam, Vietnamese exhibitors will also add a tourism sector to promote tourism resources of Vietnam. Brazil-China Trade Economic and Trade Promotion Commission (CBCDE) agreed to take up 12 booths for products such as juice and red wine. Indonesia will occupy 20 booths for coffee, seafood products, cookies, etc. Malaysia Promas International Business Society intended to take up 20 booths. So far, nearly half of the booths in the import hall of the 12th Processing Fair have been booked.

The Secretariat of the Processing Fair is also following up with other countries such as Belarus, Serbia, Georgia and Italy in terms of exhibitor solicitation. The organizers expressed that they have been actively motivating enterprises to attend the fair.
