The problem of parking has always been a major issue that restricts urban development. As the first pilot multi-story car park project to relieve city traffic pressure and renew the city image, the Tiyu Rd. Dongshi car park structure will start construction in the downtown area of Dongguan on September 25th. After completion, it will not only provide 378 parking spaces, but also serve other urban public functions. With the "exposure" of the project rendering, citizens were surprised to find that the car park will also have a good-look appearance!

Located at the junction of Shizhu Road and Tiyu Road in Nancheng District, the project is about 200 meters from the Dongguan Municipal Government building. The surrounding area comprises of multiple urban facilities such as administration, office, commerce, and hotel. Thus, it is an important venue to showcase Dongguan’s urban development. However, parking has been a nightmare in this area for a long time.

According to the project design, the parking building will cover an area of about 4,866㎡, with a construction area of about 22,000㎡. The three-dimensional building will have two underground floors and seven above ground floors. A space-saving spiral ramp structure will be adopted, which will allow cars to quickly drive from one floor to another and greatly improve the efficiency of parking. The project is expected to be completed by 2021.
